North Nashville is a neighborhood steeped in Black History. Home to three HBCUs and a historic epicenter for R&B and Jazz - it’s long been the hub of Nashville’s Black community.
Yet this 37208 zip code also has the highest rate of incarceration nationally, and the city’s explosive growth threatens to displace or overtake the community and its vibrancy.
KNGDM Group has a robust development pipeline of mixed-use projects in North Nashville designed to bring equitable revitalization - starting with the conversion of former 48-unit nursing home (30,000SF) into transitional housing for those experiencing homelessness.

The Powell School is iconic to Birmingham. Built in 1888, it is the city’s oldest school. For a century it stood for racial equity and educational opportunity. Neglect after a major fire has kept this building idle for the past two decades - until now.
KNGDM is revitalizing this 30,000SF building into a tech and workforce development hub with a venture-backed master tenant that will train the city’s most diverse tech force.
